 Our Exercise Book Initiative

Every program we run answers a real need in a real community. Together, they reflect one mission: turning compassion into lasting change across Ghana.

First Distribution: Otaresco & Attabui M/A Basic Schools

Date: September 11, 2026 | Team: 6 CMF members | Schools Reached: 2 | Students Supported: 60

On September 11, 2026, a six-member team from Care Missions Foundation visited Otaresco M/A Basic School and Attabui M/A Basic School to launch our Exercise Book Initiative . Providing essential learning materials to needy students and engaging directly with school leadership and pupils to understand their most pressing needs.

Otaresco M/A Basic School

The team arrived at Otaresco M/A around 11:00 a.m. and opened the visit with a word of prayer and a message of encouragement, inviting students to share their future aspirations and reminding them that hard work and focus are the foundation of achieving their goals.

400 exercise books and 120 markers were donated to 30 needy students, followed by a group photograph to mark the occasion. The headmistress expressed her gratitude on behalf of the school, and a teacher offered closing words of thanks before the team departed with a final prayer.

Through conversation with staff and students, the team identified a number of pressing needs at the school, including notebooks, textbooks, storybooks, a library, desks, school uniforms and jerseys, shoes, school bags, mathematical sets, and basic classroom supplies such as pens, pencils, and art materials.

Attabui M/A Basic School

The team then proceeded to Attabui M/A Basic School, where they were welcomed by the headmaster. 400 exercise books and 120 markers  were donated to 30 students, alongside a motivational message encouraging the students in their academic journey. Students were individually asked to share their personal needs, which the team carefully recorded by name , ranging from school uniforms and bags to shoes and books — to guide future, more targeted support.

At the school level, key needs identified included a proper school building, computers, a school access road, desks, a fan, school jerseys, textbooks, and storybooks.

Our Combined Impact

Across both schools, Care Missions Foundation donated a combined total of 800 exercise books and 240 markers to 60 students — while also using the visit to motivate pupils toward academic excellence and to document real, specific needs that will guide our future outreach.

This is only the beginning. With the needs identified at both schools now in hand, we look forward to returning with continued support — and invite individuals, schools, churches, and organizations to join us in equipping more students across underserved communities.
